Introduction

I obtained my M.Sc (Eng) and Ph.D in 1993 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and am currently an associate professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering. In the past, I have worked in the area of path planning algorithms, distance computation of geometrical objects and control of mechanical system. More recently, I am working on Model Predictive Control of system with uncertainties, Robust Control, Support Vector Machine, data mining algorithm and techniques.

Since 2005, I have been associated with the Singapore-MIT Alliance as a SMA Fellow.
